Icier Air
Boost Mobile Team Athletes Vie for Title

What did it take to bring the snowboard and ski industry to the AT & T ballpark in San Francisco last weekend? A 220-ft scaffolding jump, Jurassic 5, and Jonny Mossely. The Nor Cal snowboard field consisted of our very own Danny kass, Andréas Wiig, Scotty Lago, BJ Liens, Louie Vito, Travis Rice and many more of pro snowboarding’s finest.

Icier Air brought on one of the most interesting jumps seen in a while–and we thought the street jump was crazy last year! This thing had a 15-ft gap with a 150-ft drop. Pretty damn scary, so really any mistake and you may’ve been dead. And as usual, the ramp netting up brought on one lucky lady to make the fall into the net. Even famed, Mr. Tony Hawk showed up to do a skate demo in front of all the fans in SF.

Kicked off by Jurassic 5, the show was crazy and had nearly 20,000 people with their hands in the air. The concert was a great lead in to a good snow battle up on the jump. Rules are: two jumps, best jump wins. Danny came out with a nice backside 720 and Andréas landed with the backside rodeo 720 to a stomp on the first try. But it was Travis Rice who took round 1 with a backside rodeo 720 as well. But Danny cooed out with a huge backside 900 Indy to a perfect stomp on the last jump and was looking pretty set for a win, but then Andréas Wiig stuck with a banger backside rodeo 900 to settle Kass. Yet, it was Travis Rice to have the last say with a very corked out backside 720-nose grab to take the 10K in cash and a brand new Toyota FJ Cruiser.
